The Capri sea caves are just wow!

My fiancée and I went on the Positano to Capri Boat Tour, and we were astonished by the beauty of this island. The sea caves we saw are just - wow! I can't even begin to describe the vibrant colors and overall magical vibe they have. Later, the boat cruised past the Faraglioni rocks, which looked as if they were from a different planet! While most of the passengers were snapping photos, my fiancée and I just enjoyed the moment sipping limoncello. That's my favorite memory from that day!

We spent a lovely day on the boat tour

My family and I spent a lovely day on the Positano to Capri Boat Tour. The boat took us to see some of the famous landmarks, including the awesome sea caves. During the ride the skipper told us many stories and legends relating to the Green Grotto, Faraglioni rocks, and other attractions. The kids loved it! Later, we anchored at Marina Grande, and the skipper gave everyone a map of Capri Island. They spoke English well, and they were very helpful with the advice on what to see and what to do. As we were with the kids, we immediately went swimming and snorkeling and ate at the beach bar. If you're ever in Positano, I highly recommend booking this boat trip!

DESCRIPTION

Positano to Capri Boat Trip

ENJOY THE SIGHTS FROM POSITANO TO CAPRI

As you embark on the Positano to Capri Boat Tour, enjoy the views of the splendid coastline this part of Italy is known for. During this boat trip, you will pass by the Punta Lagno waterfall near Sorrento. In fact, you'll pass so close to the waterfall that you will almost be able to touch it. A little further away, you pass by the ruins of an ancient Roman villa from the 1st century AD with a hidden natural pool nearby.

THE FAMOUS CAPRI SEA CAVES

As you approach the island of Capri, the boat will take you to see incredible sea caves. Italians call these sea caves grottos, and they are a spectacular natural phenomenon. You will pass by the Marvelous Grotto (Grotta Meravigliosa), a terrestrial cave close to the White Grotto. Notice the contrast of turquoise blue sea waters and the whiteness of limestone rocks. A little later, you will see the famous Green Grotto, which owes its name to the emerald green color of the surrounding water. While you enjoy the sights, help yourself to some snacks and beverages, all included in the price of the Positano to Capri Boat Trip.

PALEOLITHIC ROCK FORMATIONS AND FARAGLIONI

The Positano to Capri Boat Tour wouldn't be complete without paying a visit to the iconic natural stone formations, the Faraglioni and the Arco Naturale. The Faraglioni will dazzle you with their dramatic shape that rises from the sea. Arco Naturale is a paleolithic rock formation that used to be a grotto before collapsing. What remains is a natural stone arch–take an epic photo to show to your family and friends!

FREE TIME TO DISCOVER CAPRI ON FOOT

After arriving in Capri on this boat trip, you will disembark at the Marina Grande harbor. Here, you'll have 3 to 5 hours of free time to discover this magical island on foot. To help you orient yourself better, you'll receive a map with all the highlights Capri has to offer. Take a stroll through the Capri town and its charming Piazzetta, treat yourself to some lunch or coffee, and don't forget a nice gelato for dessert. You may also visit some attractions, including the Gardens of Augustus, the Church of San Michele Arcangelo, or the ruins of Roman-era villas. Use this chance to go for a swim at one of the secluded coves or free public beaches. When you board the boat for a return trip to Positano, you'll end your visit with a tasting of refreshing limoncello.

Myths and legends surrounding the Faraglioni

During the Positano to Capri Boat Tour, you will pass by the magical Faraglioni. In case you were wondering, yes, there are several myths and legends that involve this incredible natural phenomenon. The ancient Greeks and Romans believed this to be the home of mermaids. With their beautiful voices that no sailor could resist, they lured the ships and their crew to their doom. They would come closer and smash against the Faraglioni.

Another more cheerful belief is that if two lovers kiss while passing under the arch of the Faraglioni rock at Capri, they will remain together for the rest of their lives. The Faraglioni are an incredible sight that you simply must see and experience for yourself!
